2012
First steps
Mario Nicolas, CEO and founder, assembled his first battery packs while working in an electric vehicle company. Those early years shaped a practical approach to long-lasting energy systems.
2013
Aftersales focus
During the early years, as lithium iron phosphate technology became established, market attention focused on solving recurring issues. Working with different customers and understanding their fundamental problems shaped what would eventually become NCPower.
2014
Technology evolution
Over time, the technology began to consolidate. However, new techniques applied to the lithium market brought new challenges to solve. This process established a methodology based on problem-solving and continuous learning.
2015
Powertrain development for light commercial vehicles
In 2015, we led the design and integration of the powertrain for a light commercial vehicle. Understanding how the battery fit within the vehicle's entire electrical ecosystem laid the groundwork for what would later become NCPower.
2016
Identifying pain points
After years in electromobility, Mario identified key unresolved issues across the sector: designs disconnected from aftersales, cell imbalance, and limited customization. That diagnosis became the foundation for what NCPower would later build.
2019
NCPower is founded
NCPower was created as a direct response to those market gaps. From day one, the company focused on designing high-performance batteries with a level of quality, integration and finish that did not exist before. Developing its own management stack—NCPower System—became the technological core of that vision.
2020
Technology consolidation
During its first years, NCPower refined its cell-management and balancing solutions, reaching reliability and durability levels above market standards. The company became a reference in lithium batteries for light electric vehicles in Spain.
2022
Diversification
After the pandemic, the company broadened its focus toward new sectors—robotics, industrial applications, and GSE—while maintaining its essence: offering highly customized, top-quality solutions.
2023
International expansion
With a high-level technical team, NCPower opens new facilities to meet growing demand and prepare for international expansion. In parallel, the company establishes partnerships with European manufacturers and distributors, strengthening its reputation for technical agility, reliability and close customer support.
2024
MH Series launch
NCPower strengthens its engineering team and launches its new MH Series line, designed for the Material Handling sector. This launch marks a milestone in the company's history by combining its expertise in custom batteries with a standardized, high-performance offering ready for production at scale.
