Remote control of NCPOWER batteries

24 June 2023

Long hours in-house to deal with customer support requests? The process of understanding what is happening and gathering the information needed to fix the problem is often cumbersome and can be time-consuming. In addition, some of the problems technicians are presented with may not be the company's responsibility, making the time investment even more frustrating. It is therefore important to consider how much time is wasted on these tasks in order to improve the efficiency of the service and reduce the workload of the technicians.

At NCPOWER, we understand that in the automotive sector, information often passes through different departments before reaching those directly responsible. Something similar to the broken telephone game we played as children can happen, from the original message to the one that reaches the end of the chain, the result can be altered.

If we expose here one of the situations that you have surely experienced in recent days, we could cite for example the following: a user of a light commercial vehicle has the feeling that the battery is draining faster than usual and starts the search to determine the cause of the anomaly and contact the right person to solve the problem. However, there are many possible reasons for the problem, and one of them may simply be that the battery has been misused or that there is simply a bad connection.

We often see situations where the fault is passed from department to department and finally reaches the Service Manager with a generic description of the problem such as "the battery is not working". The nuances and ideas that would help to detect the anomaly and its possible solution have been lost.

To be honest, when it comes to traditional batteries it is virtually impossible to detect where the battery failure is coming from and it is difficult to disprove such an assumption. In these situations, an on-site intervention with the right tools is required to perform discharge and charge tests and prove to the customer that everything is already working properly. If you work in the electric vehicle industry, you are probably familiar with receiving false reports in the technical support department.

This is where it comes into play and remote control becomes essential. This means that the actual and precise data of the lithium battery is known at all times. This enables the technical team to carry out a thorough analysis and take action at any time.

From NCPOWER we offer the solution to the aforementioned problem. The tasks of time optimisation, early detection of risks, savings in operating costs and increased productivity of the company and users of the battery packs are solved by our NC-DATA CENTER.

The NCPOWER Data Centre

The NC-DATA CENTER provides an overview of the performance of each lithium battery, making it possible to evaluate its efficiency and improve its use to optimise operating times and costs.

We have created the NCPOWER Data Center software to monitor on a daily basis the exact usage of each lithium battery installed in any electric vehicle. We also have a web portal that provides detailed information on the state of charge, Ah delivered, duration and thermal management of each NCPOWER lithium battery installed.

The key feature of the NCPOWER Data Center is the automatic monitoring of battery data in real time.

As well as allowing us to optimise battery performance, the system sends us warning reports on the use of each battery so that we can anticipate any eventuality before it occurs.

This process helps us optimise battery packs and eliminate false reports. In addition, the NCPOWER Data Center collects and analyses usage data from electric vehicles equipped with the new NCPOWER lithium batteries, improving work efficiency and enabling customers to optimise the performance of their cars.

"These benefits make manufacturers working with NCPOWER batteries more competitive in the market and therefore able to guarantee longer-lasting, more stable and safer battery performance.

Take the leap to this new technology and get the best performance for your electric vehicles with lithium batteries including remote control and top quality!
